About Me

I am an organizational behavior researcher.

I am currently a Sarah Graham Kenan Scholar Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

I also serve as an Associate Editor for Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.

My research explores two broad themes. First, I ask why managers often resist feedback—that is, why they do not ask for input or ignore such input when it is offered to them. Second, I investigate the barriers managers face when attempting to act fairly towards employees.

My work has been published in leading management and psychology journals including Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology, and Journal of Organizational Behavior.

My work has also been highlighted by publications such as Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, Wall Street Journal, AOM Insights, HR People + Strategy, and I/O at work.
